A Shade Above was established in 2000. Customized interior window shutters are our niche. Your shutters are fabricated right here on the Delmarva Peninsula in our 3,800 square foot workroom. Shutter components are made in the USA.
We offer a variety of blinds, shades, woven woods, honeycomb shades, and top treatments. Our experienced sales professionals will work with you to select products and materials that will:

Keith Kalmbach
Keith is the owner of A Shade Above. He has 30+ years in the industry. He started his career as a building contractor specifically with a background in carpentry. Quality workmanship and his attention to detail make him a perfectionist. From his beginnings as an installer he envisioned owning his own company. A Shade Above started as a one man company. Keith handled all aspects of the business from sales, fabrication, measuring, installation and customer service.
The company has grown over the years and now employs an expert team of sales professionals and fabricators. Keith remains involved in the day to day operations of the business. His mission: A Shade Above customers receive:
